Equity Arc was formed in 2020 and has ambitious plans to coordinate innovative collaboration in the classical music field. We strive to kindle and galvanize a national movement to build meaningful equity in our field’s institutions. Equity Arc engages a broad coalition of members to both break down barriers to underrepresented musicians achieving success in the field and dismantle the structural inequities, biases, and systemic racism ingrained in many of the policies and practices in our field. We work to ensure an inclusive and dynamic future for classical music that welcomes the talents and experiences of all.
