Since 1962, the Mississippi Gulf Coast Orchestra (MGCO) has been the classical venue of the Mississippi Gulf Coast, currently led by Dr. Peter Rubardt. He has earned wide acclaim for powerful and insightful performances that inspire passionate responses to symphonic music. This marks his seventh season as Music Director of the MGCO, a position he also holds with the Pensacola and Meridian Symphonies. Throughout his career he has worked successfully to broaden and deepen the relationships between communities and their orchestras, leading to growing audiences and a broad base of support.
