Principal Viola
The Civic Symphony of Green Bay announces an opening for the position of Principal Viola for our 2025-2026 concert season. The deadline to apply is July 21, 2025. Auditions will be held Monday, August 4, 2025 at St. Norbert College. POSITION DESCRIPTIONThe position of Principal Viola includes the traditional performance responsibilities required in an orchestra, as well as preparation of bowings and providing instruction to volunteer orchestra members during sectionals. The orchestra typically rehearses Thursday evenings at West De Pere High School, with performances at The Weidner and other area venues. String principal positions are paid as independent contractors. The compensation is $95 per service for the 2025-2026 season, with an average of 32 service
